Question by turtlegrrl: Is there a name for this haircut?
I get my hair cut really short, I have pictures I bring in (samantha Morton – ‘In America’) but I’m wondering if I can use a term known in haircutting so the people cutting my hair would know better. I don’t keep it flat like the cut shows, but use a product called “kiwi burst wet wax” to make it look messy and since the cut makes a cow-lick in the back flip up, I add height to my hair by making the rest of it stand up almost like it’s spiked but not completely (it’s hard to explain sorry).

Below are links to the pictures I use, any help on what to call the cut would be appreciated. If there’s no name that’s fine too, at least I won’t keep wondering

I’ve always thought that the haircut in the pictures is called a “pixie.”

Question by Parapet: What was the last movie that brought you to tears ?
I watched ” In America ” for the second time tonight . Just as with the first viewing , it assailed my emotions .
There is an approximately fifteen minute portion of this film beginning with Christy and Ariels introduction to Mateo , on to thier fathers confrontation with Mateo , and culminating with Christy singing Desperado on her school stage , that exhausts the viewers peace of mind .
Samantha Morton and Djimon Hounsou are incredible in this film . Ive rarely seen an actor convey hurt and raw emotion as well as these two , in this film .

Question by Nada: Which actress do you think is most suitable in playing Janis Joplin in a movie?
I think Samantha Morton would be best.
Stone is interesting, but sound nothing like Janis. I don’t think anyone would dare try sing like her in a movie. It would be lip sincing, so the singing part doesn’t matter. It’s the character that does.
