Lil Mole was born and bred in the quaint fields of Moseley Village. Refusing to take in any of the village band music that would be frequently played at summer fetes. Instead a taste for electronic house music was formed looking out to Englands big brother America. The great Lakes and the cities surrounding them; Chicago, Detroit and Toronto influenced Lil Mole by listening to producers Derrick Carter, Paul Johnson, Brett Johnson, Cajmere, Sneak, Gemini, Stickmen and Jeff Mills in the late 90s as well as New Yorks Central Park where a huge inspiration from Masters at Work also had a hand to play in moleding the young Mole, from Birminghams greenest suburb. A bond was formed between Lil Mole, Swavy and Crystal T at Access to Music where the three were studying, a coming of creative minds was formed as well as a joint spiritual outlook and The Light was created. The Light is the Moles first release on DeeCeeEss/ DCS Trax
